Christopher Robert

Christopher Robert

Chris is a technologist, an entrepreneur, an economist, a researcher, and a lecturer.

As a technologist and entrepreneur, he founded Dobility, Inc., which produces SurveyCTO, an electronic data collection platform used worldwide by leading researchers and evaluation professionals. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and helped grow an internet technology consultancy and led technology efforts for the top provider of software and hardware for multi-user bulletin board systems (the online systems most prominent before the Internet).

As an economist, researcher, and lecturer, he is involved in a long-term project to evaluate the impacts of microfinance in South India; he develops online curriculum for a program to promote the use of evidence in policy-making (initially in Pakistan and India); and he has taught statistics and policy analysis at the Harvard Kennedy School.

He holds an A.B. in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as Masters and Ph.D. degrees, also in public policy, from Harvard University.

Chris is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Meletis Margaritis

Meletis Margaritis

Meletis is the lead engineer behind SurveyCTO. Over the last 19 years, he has designed and developed a variety of software applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Meletis's career as a software engineer started at the age of 10, when he developed a phonebook application for the DOS operating system using ANSI C. Much later, during his Ph.D., he developed a proprietary protocol using TCP/IP sockets in order to build a framework to facilitate peer-to-peer synchronous collaboration in small groups through computer screens. More recently, he developed a unique user identification technique across multiple network channels using machine-learning techniques. He is always keen to tackle projects that require innovation, scalability, performance, and big data.

Meletis is based in Athens, Greece.

Good to know
Meletis is a painter, a chess player, a volleyball player, and a fan of the movies. He spends his free time doing puppetry with his two young children.

Faizan Diwan

Faizan Diwan

Faizan leads business development and user engagement efforts at Dobility, including utilizing his background in field research, data analysis, and economics to better understand users’ needs and help translate those into product improvements.

Prior to working at Dobility, he spent several years as a Research Manager for Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Kenya, where he led multiple large-scale impact evaluations spanning the finance, labor, agriculture, and public health sectors, managed the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics in Nairobi, and helped lead IPA Kenya’s efforts to shift from paper-based to digital data collection. He has lived and worked in Pakistan, the United States, Kenya, and Zambia.

Faizan is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Good to know
Faizan spent way too much time writing this. Also, he wishes he had majored in physics.

Alexis Ditkowsky

Alexis Ditkowsky

Alexis leads community and business strategy for Dobility. Her experience spans social entrepreneurship, international education policy, higher education, and the arts.

Prior to joining the Dobility team, Alexis managed communications and digital strategy at Northeastern University’s College of Arts, Media and Design; worked with the clinical and pro bono programs at Harvard Law School; volunteered in South Africa as a Kiva Microfinance Fellow; led community engagement initiatives for Ashoka's Changemakers in Boston, New York, and Malaysia; and spent four years at BAM, an interdisciplinary performing arts center in Brooklyn. She holds a Master of Education in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Alexis is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Maulik Chauhan

Maulik Chauhan

Maulik is the Associate Director of Dobility India and leads the company’s expanded India operations.

Maulik has years of experience in research and analysis. Prior to joining Dobility, he was a Data Associate at J-PAL South Asia, a research center supporting Randomized Control Trials (RCT’s) and measuring interventions against poverty in the fields of agriculture, health, governance, and education. He has also worked on research projects for The World Bank, Harvard University, The London School of Economics and Political Science, and MIT.

In his free time, Maulik volunteers as a social worker with organizations that promote education, animal rights, and energy conservation.

Maulik is based in Ahmedabad, India.

Baijul Parikh

Baijul Parikh

Baijul Parikh is the Sales, Customer, and Community Support Specialist for Dobility India.

Prior to joining Dobility India, she worked with the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in a number of capacities, including providing research assistance for projects related to information systems and the education sector. She completed her Bachelors of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Gujarat Technological University, India, and has authored several research papers and case studies in management information systems.

Baijul is based in Ahmedabad, India.

Good to know
Baijul is driven by the words "Life is Beautiful!" and will say them almost everywhere. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She is an Abhyasi (Member) of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, which follows Sahaj Marg Meditation. Her hobbies include reading modern classics, studying philosophy and spirituality, performing classical dance, and practicing Rajyoga Meditation.

Vikas Arora

Vikas Arora

Vikas is the Customer, Technical, and Training Support Specialist for Dobility India.

Prior to joining Dobility India, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry, taught public health courses at university, and managed mHealth projects in rural areas. He enjoys using his background in computer science and his Masters of Public Health to bridge technology and health, and he is passionate about increasing the use of ICT in health and field research. He also likes statistics, playing with data, and designing surveys.

Vikas is based in Ahmedabad, India.

Good to know
Vikas enjoys long drives, photography, Hindi movies, and listening to music. He is from the colorful land of Rajasthan and believes in enjoying every shade of life.

Amrik Cooper

Amrik Cooper

Amrik is the Africa Lead for Dobility, focusing on business development and user engagement.

Before joining Dobility, he co-founded ikapadata, a South African survey research consultancy with a founding principle of adopting digital data collection systems. Amrik has been involved in every stage of survey planning, fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting on numerous projects of different types including market research, social program evaluations, household studies, and experimental behavioral studies.

As an early adopter of the SurveyCTO platform, Amrik started consulting in his previous role as a SurveyCTO form developer on large surveys for clients such as Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He has worked on SurveyCTO-based surveys that have been deployed in Bangladesh, Malawi, Mali, South Africa, and Zambia. He holds a Masters of Sociology degree from the University of Cape Town.

Amrik is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Good to know
Amrik is a one-time semi-professional musician and plays bass guitar, guitar, drums, and piano. He is most at peace in the kitchen.

Jacinth R. Moses

Jacinth R. Moses

Jacinth supports the Dobility team as its Quality Assurance Manager.

Prior to joining Dobility, Jacinth managed and developed high-performance quality control, IT, operations, and customer service teams at multinational corporations, including American Express and Accenture. He is passionate about identifying opportunities to improve processes and loves to implement practical solutions for innovative technical projects that have a global reach.

He is certified in PRINCE 2 Project Management, ITIL V3 2011(IT Services Management), Six Sigma Green Belt (Indian Statistical Institute), and holds an MBA in Information Technology.

Jacinth is based in New Delhi, India.

Good to know
In his personal time Jacinth loves to play his guitar, jam with his friends, travel, cook with his wife, write for his blog, and ride his Royal Enfield motorcycle. He listens to all types of music but alternative and heavy metal have a special place in his heart.

Mihaela Hoka

Mihaela Hoka

Mihaela Hoka is a quality-control engineer for the SurveyCTO platform and has been working in quality assurance for the past decade.

Prior to joining Dobility, Mihaela worked for EU Agenda, accesa, and Alcatel-Lucent, and holds a Bachelors in Telecommunication from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. She first started working in quality assurance while pursuing a career in telecommunications and has since obtained a range of quality-control certifications (ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level, and ISQTB Certified Tester, Advanced Level - Test Management). She is an active member of her local testing community and is constantly improving her knowledge.

Mihaela is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

Mihaela likes soup. She likes to cook and eat all kinds of soups.

Wallace Ferreira

Wallace Ferreira

Wallace is responsible for implementing SurveyCTO's drag-and-drop form designer. Being a member of the Dobility team has enabled him to help thousands of people while doing what he loves.

Fascinated by computing since childhood, Wallace uses technology to make people’s lives easier. He has developed automation software for a wide range of sectors, including e-commerce, healthcare, and finance, and has worked on projects in Brazil, the United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, and India.

Wallace is based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Good to know
Wallace loves to read, watch movies, visit new places, and spend time with his family. He dreams of taking a round-the-world trip.

Yuliya Latysheva

Yuliya Latysheva

Yuliya is a UI/UX, web, and graphic designer who loves to create responsive web sites and UIs. She has also worked on a wide range of branding, logo, and print design projects with companies from around the world.

Yuliya holds a degree in psychology but she decided to pursue her passion for the arts instead. After studying graphic design and art in Northern Virginia, she has continued to evolve as an artist through self-study and a lot of hard work.

Yuliya is based in Samara, Russia.

Good to know
Yuliya is a former gymnast and ballroom dancer. When she has spare time, she likes to meditate with watercolor.

Kirill Latysheva

Kirill Latysheva

Kirill is a full-stack software engineer with experience in both front-end (HTML5, CSS3/ SASS, JavaScript) and back-end (PHP, WordPress, MySQL) development.

Kirill has been programming professionally for more than 15 years. During his career, he has worked with clients from around the world to help them implement the best software solutions for their needs. One of his favorite projects was contributing to the high-load server development for AOL.

Kirill is based in Samara, Russia.

Kirill is a trained classical musician but now his favorite music is of the heavier variety.
