Using mobile devices running Android 4.4 or lower? Action may be needed prior to November 1, 2020

In our continued efforts to provide the most secure mobile data collection platform for our global users across 165 countries, we are phasing out support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and 1.1 beginning November 1, 2020. The majority of SurveyCTO users will not experience disruptions in service, however, mobile devices running Android 4.4 and earlier may see changes. 

Beginning November 1, 2020, SurveyCTO will no longer support mobile devices running Android 4.3 or earlier. For teams with mobile devices using Android 4.4 and an old version of SurveyCTO Collect (prior to 2.70.2), you are required to update to the latest version of SurveyCTO Collect, 2.70.6, prior to November 1, 2020. Failure to do so will result in mobile devices being unable to connect to the server. Read on to learn how to update to the latest version of SurveyCTO and get help if you need it.

Who needs to take action prior to November 1st? 

Beginning November 1, 2020, SurveyCTO will no longer support mobile devices using Android 4.3 or earlier (i.e. 4.2, 4.1, etc.).

Users who are using mobile devices running Android 4.4 and an old version of SurveyCTO Collect (2.70.2 or earlier) will experience disruptions in their service if action is not taken. In order to ensure there is no problem connecting mobile devices to your server, users of these devices need to update to the latest version of SurveyCTO Collect, 2.70.6, prior to November 1, 2020.

How do I update to the latest version of SurveyCTO Collect?
