The Center for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS) Foundation is a not-for-
profit organization based out of India that partners with state governments in India to bring governance reforms and help the state deliver better developmental outcomes. Since 2019, they have partnered with the Government of Telangana for various projects and work closely with officials from many line departments in the state. In this webinar, the CEGIS Foundation will highlight lessons learned from an ongoing agriculture monitoring project with the Planning Department of the State Government of Telangana.

We will hear from Preethi Patil and Aparna Devi, Assistant Statistical Officers from the Planning Department, Government of Telangana, who have closely worked with CEGIS in improving the measurement accuracy of agricultural area statistics using SurveyCTO.

Aparna is an Assistant Statistical Officer who has been working with the Directorate of Economics and Statistics at the Government of Telangana for 3 years. She played a keen role in the introduction of SurveyCTO for improving the accuracy of area enumeration.

Preethi is also an Assistant Statistical Officer with the Directorate of Economics and Statistics at the Government of Telangana. She has been with the organization since 2019 and also contributed immensely to the adoption and successful rollout of SurveyCTO for area enumeration projects.
