In this webinar, survey experts from the World Bank’s Development Impact Group demonstrate and explain how to simplify data quality checks!
Tune in to see how Junior Data Scientist Maria Reyes Retana and Data Science and Data Ecosystems Consultant Marina Visintini operate the innovative Impact Evaluation High Frequency Check (IEHFC) platform, and learn how to use it to address your own survey quality challenges!
Key Webinar Takeaways
- IEHFC Tool Purpose: How The Impact Evaluation High Frequency Checks (IEHFC) tool was developed by the Development Impact Group at the World Bank to address common data quality challenges in survey data collection, and how it can make high-quality data checks more accessible and efficient.
- How the IEHFC tool works: IEHFC is free, open-source, and developed in R Shiny, requiring no special software or advanced coding skills (only one line of R code is needed to launch the app after initial setup). It offers standardized and customizable checks for duplicates, outliers, enumerator performance, and administrative unit tracking.
- Workflow and Output: Users can upload raw CSV data, select desired checks and parameters, and then generate results. Outputs include individual tables and graphs, or a consolidated HTML report, allowing for quick insights and easy sharing.
- Privacy and Flexibility: The IEHFC app runs entirely on the user’s computer, protecting data privacy as data does not leave the user’s system. It offers the flexibility for users to download and customize the underlying code if they have advanced coding skills–but this is not required for general use.
