SID 2024: What to expect

SID draws thousands of international development professionals each year, offering both in-person and online attendance options. This year’s conference will offer Lightning Talks and feature an Innovation Competition.

The Lightning Talk Contest lets you present an idea in 3-minute TED Talk-style videos, with the content winners being featured on SID’s main stage during the conference. The Innovation Competition allows professionals in the international development community to pitch their ideas, projects, or solutions for empowering locally-led efforts to transform development.

SID also provides ample networking opportunities and social events to create and strengthen existing connections and partnerships. For online attendees, SID facilitates robust breakout sessions to discuss what you’re learning with other virtual participants.
