Dobility, Inc., the maker of SurveyCTO, is leading the industry in designing innovative quality control features that enable users with diverse needs to collect the highest quality data possible. These features range from powerful form design and testing capabilities (e.g., form testing interface, constraints, fields that capture audio audits and device sensor meta-data), server tools (e.g., automated quality checks, review and corrections workflow), machine-learning development, and easy connectivity to external platforms for further cleaning and analysis (e.g., Stata, Power BI).

SurveyCTO’s vast data quality toolkit and functionality present all sorts of possibilities for our users’ project and organizational needs. In our latest webinar, we’re turning things over to data quality innovators and SurveyCTO super users from Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) and Komaza, organizations at the cutting edge of harnessing high-quality evidence to steer impactful projects, to share their own best practices in using SurveyCTO and other tools to enhance data quality. Join us in our next webinar on February 26, 2020 at 2 PM UTC / 9 AM ET to learn how fieldwork experts tackle data quality. And to more fully explore SurveyCTO, start a free 15-day trial today.

A member of our professional support team will moderate a 40-minute presentation led by our expert panelists listed below and then open the discussion to any of your questions.

  • Ishmail Azindoo Baako, Research Quality Coordinator, IPA Ghana
  • Dragana Marinkovic, Business Intelligence Manager, Komaza

What you’ll learn

Our super users at IPA and Komaza rely on high-quality data when important decisions and policy-making hang in the balance. IPA is a global leader in designing and rigorously evaluating poverty reduction programs in 21 countries, as demonstrated by this powerful video on one of their randomized evaluations. Komaza is revolutionizing African forestry by unlocking the potential of small-scale farmers to solve Africa’s wood supply crisis and generate life-changing income for millions of people, some of whom are profiled here.

In this webinar, the panelists will share valuable insights on how they use SurveyCTO and other tools to monitor and improve data quality. Here are some of the best practices they’ll present:

  • Transitioning from paper to digital tools and its impact on data quality.
  • Defensive survey programming to mitigate the possibility of errors and confusion.
  • Using dataset publishing and pre-loading data to organize phases of collection work
  • Collecting meta-data from audio audits and text audits to flag outliers, suspicious conversations, and survey protocol violations.
  • Improved back checking using SurveyCTO data publishing.

Additionally, you’ll learn about our most innovative data quality control features, including how to leverage sensor meta-data collected by mobile devices to better understand how your surveys are actually being conducted on the ground and capture a whole new level of data quality awareness.

How to attend

The webinar will be held on February 26, 2020 at 2 PM UTC / 9 AM ET. Register today to attend! We’ll also post video recordings of all the webinars in our video library and share them on our Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages.

You can also check out the video recording of our last webinar on how to use sensor meta-data as a powerful indicator of data quality. What is SurveyCTO?

SurveyCTO is the most reliable, secure, and scalable mobile data collection platform for researchers and professionals working in offline settings. It can be used online or offline, and on the web, tablets, or mobile phones. SurveyCTO protects against fraud by recording how long surveys take, audio recording when suspicious behavior is flagged, and employing statistical algorithms to look for anomalies in the data. It’s also an extraordinarily flexible platform that allows for advanced survey logic, pre-loading existing data into survey questions, and automatically merging incoming data into back-office applications like Excel.

SurveyCTO has been used to collect millions of survey submissions in over 165 countries by organizations such as the World Bank Group, Save the Children, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, Innovations for Poverty Action, Komaza, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, and many others.
